  • Argentinian Coach Garcia has coached against Hatila Passos in both Uruguay and Venezuela at least 10 times. Nestor Garcia is one of the top and most winning coaches in Latin America, fresh of the 2008/2009 Uruguayan and South American Club's Title with Bigua:

"Hatila Passos works very hard, does not say much, just works ... He is physical and hard in both defense and offense, has very good hands inside and always looks to rebound the ball ... understands the game well ... really much more than what I had expected !"

  • Hatila's Head Coach at New Mexico State during the 2006/2007 season, currently Head Coach of the NBA franchise Sacramento Kings and a former assistant of Rick Pitino, said of Hatila Passos:

"Hatila was one of the reasons we turned NMSU around so fast. His strong inside play and hard work made him one of my favorites. It was a joy coaching him and he will be playing on a high level for a long time. I'll keep a close eye on his career as I think sooner or later he could make it in the NBA. Good luck Hatila!"

  • Hatila's Head Coach of the University Brazilian National Team in Summer of 2007, currently top assistant at the University of Nebraska, said of Hatila Passos:

"In summer 2007, I coached Hatila Passos in Sao Paulo with the Brazilian University National Team. Hatila is a great player with an unbelievable upper side.  He works very hard and tries to do whatever it takes to help his team to win.  He is strong, runs the floor well and rebounds, but I was most impressed with his desire for the game of basketball and that he is huge for a big man. I believe Hatila Passos will have success in his professional basketball career."
