HATILA PASSOS, RECOVERING
FROM A SLIGHT ANKLE TORSION HE SUFFERED WHILE WITH THE
NATIONAL TEAM, GETTING FOCUSED ON HIS PRO CAREER !
Hatila Passos and the Brazilian National Team,
after loosing vs. Argentina in the qualification round
and vs. Venezuela in the Bronze Medal final, ended the
South American Championships qualifying for Copa America
which will determine the Nations participating to the
next World Cup. Hatila said: "After
a very good practice period in Rio, I wasn't blessed
with luck. After we came to Chile I suffered a slight
ankle torsion which did not allow me to perform and help
Brazil as I wanted to. I guess, this is part of the game
so I will just focus on getting ready for professional
basketball now and move on." Passos, who was
about to join the Brazilian Pre-Olympic National Team
right before NBA star Leandrinho Barbosa declared
unavailable and had gained high consideration from Coach
Moncho Monsalve, signed contract in Europe with a Swiss
Team but according to his Agent, the player will try to
take advantage of his buy-out clause and start his
career in Italy, Germany, France, Turkey or Greece.
